It was Halloween night, and Sarah had decided to throw a spooky party at her old, creaky mansion. She had invited all of her friends, including her best friend, Jake, who was known for his love of horror movies.

Jake grabbed a microphone and started telling jokes. At first, the ghost seemed unimpressed, but as Jake kept going, it began to giggle uncontrollably.
Soon, the ghost was laughing so hard that it disappeared into thin air. The doors and windows unlocked, and Sarah and her friends were able to escape.
As they caught their breath outside, they realized that Jake's love of horror movies had actually saved their lives. They laughed and hugged, relieved that they had made it out alive.
From that day on, Sarah's mansion was known as the haunted house where the ghost was defeated by laughter. And every Halloween, Jake brought his best jokes, just in case any other ghosts decided to crash the party.
