It was a bright, sunny day when a group of friends decided to go on a camping trip in the woods. They were all excited for the adventure ahead and were looking forward to a fun-filled weekend in the wilderness.

As they set up camp, they noticed something strange about the woods. It was completely silent, as if all the animals had fled the area. They shrugged it off as a coincidence and started a campfire.

As the night fell, the group started to tell scary stories around the campfire. They laughed and joked, enjoying each other's company. But then they heard something in the woods.

At first, it was a faint rustling sound, but it grew louder and closer. They shone their flashlights into the darkness, but they couldn't see anything. Suddenly, they heard a blood-curdling scream, and one of the friends went missing.

They searched for their friend for hours but found no trace of him. They decided to pack up and leave the woods, but they soon realized they were lost. They tried to follow their tracks back to the campsite, but they only led them in circles.

As they wandered aimlessly, they noticed strange symbols carved into the trees. They had never seen anything like them before, but they felt like they were being watched.

Suddenly, they heard footsteps behind them, and they turned around to see a figure shrouded in darkness. They couldn't see its face, but they could feel its cold breath on their necks.

The group tried to run, but the figure was always just behind them, and they couldn't shake it off. They heard strange whispers, and the symbols on the trees seemed to glow in the darkness.

Just when they thought it was all over, they stumbled upon an old cabin. It was run-down and abandoned, but it offered them shelter. They went inside, and they were relieved to find that the cabin was empty.

They barricaded the doors and windows, hoping to keep the figure out. But as they huddled together, they heard a faint tapping sound. They looked around, but they couldn't see anything.

The tapping grew louder and louder, and suddenly, the figure burst through the door. They screamed and tried to fight it off, but it was too strong.

The group was never seen again, and no one knows what happened to them. The only clue was the strange symbols carved into the trees and the ruins of the old cabin, which was never inhabited again.

Years later, people still talk about the group of friends who disappeared in the woods and the mysterious figure that took them. Some say that the woods are cursed, and others say that the figure still lurks in the darkness, waiting for its next victim.
