"Ferdinand's life before Myne "Ascendance Of A Bookworm

Intro & (0-7)

in the world of the ascendance of a bookworm  ,almost  13 years before myne was born or 18 years before the story started  , a child among so many was born  in a villa in the  sovereignty  called Adalgisa  villa to a princess from  Lanzenave  that borders  Yurgenschmidt from  Ahrensbach's sea side, the children are raised in the villa , 
female seeds becomes royal princesses due to their high mana capacity to give birth to more mana rich children in Yurgenschmidt .
as for the male seeds  , one and only one is chosen  to become  the new king of  Lanzenave  , the rest have one of 2 fates awaiting them ,one is death, the other is  life .

they either climb the towering stairway  as they have royal blood in their vanes before they are 7 , or are taken by a father but this  rarely ever happens  as they can't say for  sure if thechild is there's .

the child was raised their for 7 years ,but sadly was not chosen and was about to  disappear , but Dregarnuhr the Goddess of Time had other plans in mind for this child , an aub decided to take him in as a son saving his life and giving him a place to be called home ..

the boy asked him why and the aub answered saying "it was the Goddess of Time's guidance and that he was absolutely certain that his presence will benefit his duchy. "

he was baptized in the aub's  dutchy as an archduke candidate  , but the women who was supposed to be his mother in the duchy died before that , and the 1st wife of the aub  didn't agree to adopt him , staining his reputation as a noble and  preventing him from becoming  the new aub unless all other candidates die ..

and with this Dregarnuhr the Goddess of Time may have stopped her help as the child started to live in constant fear in the castle as  he had no support ,his attendants was assigned to him by that women , she harassed him at every single opportunity she had and  ordered his attendants to  annoy him even assigning him laynonle retainers leading to his reputation as a lord to go down hill  and he had to talk only when spoken to on the the dinner table .

he had almost nobody to trust  but even those who cared couldn't do a thing when the 1st lady was so hostile towords him ..
so life in the castle continued to be hell on earth for him until he became 10 and went to the royal academy as 1st year archduke candidate.

 

(10-15)

he starts studying in there and  finishing all of his classes 1st  with flying colors , that he was praised for his effort by the king of the time , at that day the aub summed  him to his room in the boys floor , so he entered and found the aub and his older half brother , they spent the night together , the boy talked about his life in the royal academy and they both praised him and all kept talking through out the knight .

the boy was so happy and  the words of praise that his father stuck in his head till this day and time .

“Good job, Ferdinand. Ehrenfest could not ask for a better archduke candidate. You are my pride and joy.”

those words motivated him to come 1st in class the next year as well so he could be praised again next year in the royal academy .

in his 2nd year there ,he was the only archduke candidate for his duchy, he did the same coming 1st in class , receiving the king's praise and most importantly his father's praise as well .

in the 3rd he started to take all courses except the attendants course , finishing his archduke candidate course , gathering in the royal academy , and taking the other to courses staying in the royal academy the whole year ,as veronica's influence was not as strong their so he only returned to the castle when called for only living the best days of his life there and coming 1st in class for all the courses he took throughout the remaining years in the royal academy. 

and that was all thanks to professor hurschur the women who took Ferdinand as a disciple , refusing Veronica's orders and protecting him , which caused her a lot , she was harassed by Veronica , lost the help that the duchy was supposed to give her  . she even stopped sleeping in her dormitory room and started sleeping in her lab.

Ferdinand was a genius  as you may deduct from him coming 1st in class for 3 courses  , he was a tactician on a whole other level defeating Dunkelfelger when ever they challenged him , and he was given his blue cape from heisshitze who was with him in the same year in knights course , but he was never able to take it back before graduating.
as a knight he led the duchy in the inter-duchy tournament causing chaos in the treasure stealing between all duchies  using his devious plots and magic tools making schoolers participate in the ditter research and make magic tools for the ditter matches , earning  him the title of lord of evil .

he was so good at ditter that  the Dunkelfelger apprentice knights tried to save him by suggesting to the aub a marriage between him and an archduke candidate from their dutchy.

that was it for knight course as for the schooler course  ,he went berserk making magic tools one after another , introducing them in the inter-duchy tournament time for research , selling them and making a fortune their selling them to other duchies , and even making some for hurschur ,which she still has till this day and time..
he was making so much money , that a few large golds were a change for him.
and he was also invited to tea parties by the music professors to  play music and sing  to the point he would have been taken by a princess attending back then if he wasn't an archduke candidate . 

while there also he got 3 people to give him their names being Justus the scholar / attendant then Eckhart as a guard knight and one laynoble attendant who will take care of his estate in the future.

all of this happened during the civil war between the the princes of the royal family the royal academy was a dangerous place as well to the point that while Ferdinand was gathering  ingredients there with some Dunkelfelger apprentice knights  he was attacked by Ternisbefallen , but they succeeded to defeat it somehow  back then .

and with the best days in his life till then , gathering , researching ,making magic tools , causing chaos , forming  personal connections with royalty and high ranking duchies and making a fortune away from the castle where veronica  was in control came to an end with him graduating at the age 15 .

once back in erenphest  he joined the knights order briefly proving his worth as a knight , a little while later  ,the 6th aub becme ill and was on the verge of death that was when they both talked . 
Ferdinand promised that he would do everything in his power to make Sylvester the archduke and aid him henceforth. 
Ferdinand  was willing to go to extreme length to keep that promise , even if the result is great, personal suffering for himself.

that was when Veronica's harassment went to the extreme threatening his life , so he decide to go to the  temple , despite his guard knight suggesting to “send that waste of space after your father and avoid this banishment to the temple.” but he refused saying  that 
"ripple effect would catch too many other people in its wake" showing the extent he was ready to go to sacrificing his own comfort for erenphest .. leaving noble society to prove he was withdrawing from the world of politics ..

2-3 years later The Civil War ends with the victory of the fifth prince Trauerqual , and  enacts a large-scale purge against the fourth prince, his immediate family, and the web of nobles who had provided them with support. The death toll of the war  causing the massive mana-shortage to broke out. leading to the allocation of so many blue priests from their duchies temple to the sovereignty's temple in in an attempt to fill the gaps opened up in their ranks, plus noble families began to call many blue priests back to noble society, leaving only those with the bare minimum mana capacity in the temple , Ferdinand didn't leave as he was still an archduke candidate leading to him becoming the new high priest after his predecessor went to the sovereignty's temple.

one to two years later and he comes across a girl who has the devouring and her parents refused the high bishops order to  give their daughter to the temple ,  disposing a priest's order in their eyes a noble , the high bishop ordered his attendants to capture the girl , while Ferdinand did nothing about it as it was the most efficient way to reach the outcome he wanted but to his surprise the girl went on a rampage losing her sense and used her mana to crush the high bishop , making Ferdinand dump founded he never foresaw this happening , once he returned to his sences he stood between them , trying to stop him , but she crushed him as well ,then returned to the old man quaking in fear almost killing him , while his death would have been beneficial for him but that would mean that the commener girl with this much mana who the duchy needs more than the old man and would lessen his mana burden as she appeared to have mana level of med tier archnoble would die , he raked his brain to find a way to solve this situation finally stopping her by telling her that her parents would become criminals if she killed the high bishop as Veronica would never tolerate that , 

the girl stopped and they left the room to his own room to talk ,and while speaking to her her answers amazed him dyeing a tiny piece of him which will led eventually to a huge change in his life , she will care for him as a family while he'll care for her as a guardian , mentor , doctor and lastly family .
