Benny the Brave Bunny and the Fallen Star

gentle bedtime adventure about a little bunny who learns that being brave doesn’t mean you’re not scared—it means you try anyway.

In a bright green forest filled with tall trees and colorful flowers, there lived a small bunny named Benny. Benny was kind and curious, but he was afraid of the dark. Every evening when the sun went

down, he hurried into his cozy burrow, shut the door tight, and wrapped himself in his leafy blanket.

One quiet night, as Benny peeked out of his tiny window, he noticed something unusual in the sky. A sparkling star was falling slowly behind the nearby hill! His eyes grew wide. “Can a star get lost?” he wondered.

Benny tried to sleep, but he couldn’t stop thinking about the little star. What if it was scared and all alone in the dark? His paws trembled at the thought of walking outside at night. The path to the hill was shadowy, and the trees sometimes made whispering sounds in the wind.

He took a deep breath. “If the star is afraid,” Benny said softly, “it needs a friend.” He wrapped his red scarf around his neck and stepped outside. The moon gave a soft glow, but the shadows still danced around him. Benny felt nervous, yet he kept going, humming a tiny song to make himself feel braver.

When he reached the hill, he saw a faint shimmer in the grass. There, resting gently among the flowers, was a small glowing star. It sparkled weakly.

“I was twirling in the sky,” the star said in a tiny voice, “but I slipped and fell. I don’t know how to get back.”

Benny’s heart pounded, but he smiled kindly. “Don’t worry. I’ll help you.”

He remembered something his friend Oliver the Owl once told him: “Stars shine brightest from high places.” Benny looked around and spotted a tall rock at the top of the hill. Carefully and gently, he nudged the little star toward it.

“On the count of three,” Benny said, “shine as bright as you can!”

“One… two… three!”

The star glowed brighter and brighter until it sparkled like a tiny sun. Suddenly, it floated upward, rising higher and higher, back into the night sky.

“Thank you, brave bunny!” the star called as it returned to its place among the others.

Benny watched with a proud smile. His fear hadn’t disappeared—but he had done something brave anyway. As he walked home, the dark didn’t seem so scary anymore.

That night, Benny left his window slightly open. Above him, a familiar star twinkled brightly, as if saying goodnight.

And from that day on, Benny remembered: even the smallest bunny can be a big light in the dark.
