The Haunted Burial

The Haunted Burial

Mahmoud and Hussein rushed out of the house, the screams they'd heard fading slowly behind them. Hussein was terrified and said to Mahmoud, "We have to get out of here and leave this whole thing behind"

But Mahmoud was determined to carry out what was written in the letter. He told Hussein, "We can't run away now. If we don't bury this box in a holy place, this curse will continue to haunt us, and maybe even worse"

They agreed that they had to act quickly before anything else happened. They needed to find the nearest mosque or Islamic center in the area and bury the box there. They got in their car and started searching the city for a suitable place. The streets were empty, and the night grew darker as time passed

After an hour of searching, they found an old mosque in a remote area on the outskirts of the city. The mosque was almost deserted, and no one had prayed there for a long time. They decided this was the best place to bury the box, as it was both quiet and holy

They entered the mosque cautiously, carrying the box, which felt unusually heavy, as if there was something more than just wood inside. The atmosphere in the mosque was very cold, and despite it being summer, the cold felt like part of the curse that had come with them

Mahmoud and Hussein began to dig in the dirt floor inside the mosque. Every strike of the ax produced a muffled sound, as if the earth itself was reluctant to open. After a while of digging, a sufficiently large hole was made. Mahmoud placed the box inside and they began to fill it in quickly

But as soon as the box was covered with earth, the entire mosque shook in a strange way, and the sounds that had been chasing them in the house began to return. They felt as if the earth itself was screaming beneath them, and that something terrible was happening

At that moment, Hussein began to lose his nerve and said to Mahmoud, "I can't do this anymore, we have to leave here now!" But Mahmoud was determined to finish. He told Hussein, "We have to finish what we started, and make sure this curse is gone for good"

Suddenly, the earth began to calm down, and the sound began to fade slowly. After they had completely buried the box, they felt the atmosphere around them begin to warm, and the darkness that had surrounded them began to dissipate. It was clear that they had done the right thing, and the curse was beginning to fade

But before they left the mosque, Hussein heard a faint sound from beneath the ground, as if someone was whispering his name. He froze in place and looked at Mahmoud, saying, "Did you hear that"

Mahmoud didn't hear anything and told him, "There's nothing there, Hussein, we have to go now"

But Hussein was certain he had heard something, and he became more nervous than before

They left the mosque quickly, got in the car, and headed towards the city. The road was quiet, but Hussein was still terrified, and he had a feeling that something was wrong. He tried to reassure himself, but the closer they got to the city, the stronger the feeling became

When they arrived in the city, everything seemed normal, but Hussein couldn't sleep that night. He felt like something was watching him, as if there were eyes following him from every corner. At one point, he decided to get up and look around the house, but he didn't find anything strange

But when he returned to his room, he found something on his bed that froze the blood in his veins: it was the same wooden box they had buried in the mosque, sitting on the bed, open

Inside was a new picture, different from the one they had seen before. This picture was of Hussein himself, standing in the same room he was in now, but in the background there was a large black shadow, larger than the one that had appeared in the first picture

Hussein couldn't believe what was happening, but he knew that the curse wasn't over, and that it had returned in a stronger and more dangerous way

At that moment, Mahmoud called Hussein and said in a terrified voice, "Hussein, something strange happened to me. The box we buried returned to me, I found it on my bed"

They realized then that what they had done was wrong, and that they hadn't gotten rid of the curse. They had to find another way to settle this matter once and for all, before this curse destroyed their lives
