YouTube In 2005, three former employees of the online payment firm Paypal, Chad Hurley, Steve Chen and Jawed Karim tried to send a benchmarke-post clip. Failing to achieve this, they imagine an indulgence to easily host and share videos online. YouTube opens in February of the same year. raw and free, it met with immediate success. Deezer

Jonathan Benassaya, a graduate of the ESSEC business school and founder of an online advertising agency, joined forces in 2006 with Daniel Marelhy, a gifted coding expert who left school at 16. Their idea is innovative: to offer music online for free. They founded Blogmusik, which is hugely successful among 15-25 year olds. The majors are protesting this copyright infringement and the site must quickly close. It reopens under the name of Deezer, after negotiations with the SACEM (Society of Authors, Composers, Music Publishers) and the financial support of Xavier Niel. The site now has a turnover of 60 million euros

Altrad

Born in the Syrian desert, Mohed Altrad had to wait until he was ten to go to school for the first time. He obtains a scholarship to study in France where he will obtain a doctorate in computer science. In 1985, he changed sectors by buying a scaffolding SME which had just gone bankrupt in Montpellier. He then diversified into the sale of cement mixers and quickly prospered. In twenty years, he made 60 acquisitions and made the Altrad group the world giant in concrete, with a turnover of two billion euros. In 2015, he received the global entrepreneur of the year award
