The Little Bird and the Dream of Flying

In a small village surrounded by green fields and tall trees, a family of birds lived in a cozy nest high in one of the big trees. In the nest were four baby birds, and the youngest of them was named "Farfouh." Farfouh was different from his siblings—he was afraid of flying, unlike his brothers and sisters, who were excited for their first day in the air.

Every morning, their mother would bring them food and encourage them to strengthen their wings in preparation for flying. One day, she stood at the edge of the nest and said:

“It's time to learn how to fly! You need to spread your wings and try flying with me.”

The three siblings eagerly jumped out of the nest, flapping their little wings until they managed to stay in the air. But Farfouh remained in the nest, feeling scared as he watched them. His mother gently approached him and asked:

“What's wrong, my little one? Don't you want to fly like your siblings?”

Farfouh replied in a trembling voice:

“I'm scared, Mom… What if I fall? What if I can't fly?”

His mother smiled warmly and said:

“It's normal to be afraid, my dear. But you must trust yourself. The wings that God gave you are strong, and all birds learn to fly by trying.”

But Farfouh was still unconvinced and decided to stay in the nest, believing it was safer there.

Days passed, and Farfouh watched his siblings soaring between the trees, having fun in the sky. He felt sad that he couldn't join them, but he was still too afraid.

One night, while everyone was asleep, Farfouh sat watching the moon in the sky. He dreamed of flying, but he didn’t know how to overcome his fear. Suddenly, he heard a soft voice say:

“Why don’t you try?”

He looked around in surprise and saw a beautiful butterfly sitting next to him. The butterfly said:

“I was once a tiny caterpillar, living inside my cocoon, afraid to come out. But I tried, and because of that, I can now fly and enjoy everything around me!”

Farfouh felt inspired by the butterfly’s words, but he was still hesitant. The butterfly gently said:

“You’ll never know how wonderful flying is unless you try.”

The next morning, Farfouh decided to take his first step. He climbed to the edge of the nest and looked down, then took a deep breath. His mother and siblings watched him with encouragement.

"Come on, Farfouh! We believe in you!" his mother called out.

Farfouh closed his eyes, then opened them, spread his wings, and jumped from the nest! At first, he felt like he was falling, but suddenly, his wings started working, and he flapped them strongly. He felt the air beneath him and realized that… he was flying!

"I’m flying! I’m flying!" he shouted joyfully.

He flew around the tree and then returned to the nest, laughing happily. His mother hugged him proudly and said:

“I always knew you could do it!”

From that day on, Farfouh was no longer afraid of flying. He enjoyed playing with his siblings in the sky and thanked the butterfly for her wise advice. He realized that when we face our fears and try, we can achieve things we never thought possible.

And so, Farfouh lived new adventures in the sky, becoming the bravest and strongest little bird in the nest.
