The hidden treasure
.In a quiet village, there lived a simple and friendly man named hashim
His heart was as white as snow, but his pocket was empty. His work was not enough to provide for himself and his wife Hind. Hind was as beautiful as the moon, but her tongue was sharp and her words harsh. She always complained about her tight circumstances. One day, Hind returned from the market bearing good news. She had heard that the village ruler was looking for a worker for his farm.
She looked at Hashim with shining eyes and said, "Hashim! Get up early in the morning and go to the ruler. Don't let anyone take this opportunity away from you." The next morning, Hashim woke up before sunrise and hurried out ahead of everyone else.
On his way, he saw an old woman carrying a heavy sack of flour. She was groaning with exhaustion. In a moment of hesitation, Hashim remembered that helping the needy is a characteristic of generous people, so he stepped out of his way and ran to her.
Hashim carried the sack for her and walked beside her until he took her home. The old woman thanked him and wished him blessings. When he arrived at the governor's palace, he found that someone else had been appointed in his place.
Hashim was deeply disappointed and returned home, worried. When Hind eagerly asked him, "What have you done?" he told her what had happened. Hind exploded with anger, saying, "That's it! We no longer have a living together! Take your belongings and get out of my house. I can't bear this poverty anymore." Hashim was shocked; the wife he loved had abandoned him so easily. He carried his small bag and left the village, not knowing where to go. Hashim walked along a desert road, alone and worried, until he saw a wolf in pain, and a huge rock pressing on its leg. Hashim hesitated for a moment, afraid that the wolf was a predator, but the sound of its moaning was louder than his fear.
He decided to help it and leave the matter to God. Hashim lifted the rock from the wolf's leg and walked away, afraid. The wolf looked at him with shining eyes and said in a human voice, "Don't be afraid, Hashim. You saved me. I will never hurt you again." Hashim was shocked and couldn't believe what he heard.
The wolf realized his surprise and said, "I was born this way. I understand and speak human language too." The wolf then asked him why he was on this path, and Hashim told him everything that had happened to him and his wife. The wolf smiled and said, "What happened to you is good. Your kind heart deserves to be rewarded." He then motioned for Hashim to follow him.
Hashim, still afraid, followed the wolf until they reached an abandoned well. The wolf began digging until he pulled out a huge jar filled with gold. "I have been guarding this treasure for a long time," he said to Hashim, "and now you deserve it." Hashim was overjoyed.
He decided to take the treasure and return to his village. He purchased valuable merchandise and returned to his village with new hopes. He opened a large store, bought a beautiful house, and lived a comfortable life.
When Hind heard what had happened, she went to him and asked in astonishment, "How did this happen?" Hashem smiled and said, "God is generous. He provides for whomever He wishes, whenever He wishes." Hind asked him to let her come back to live with him, and he agreed, but on one condition: "You will live here as a servant, eating and drinking, and helping with the housework only." Hind agreed immediately.
Days passed, and Hashem fell seriously ill. One of the shop workers took advantage of his illness and began stealing his money. Meanwhile, a wolf was watching everything from afar. Because he understood human language, he uncovered the thief and went to Hashem and told him what was happening. Thanks to the wolf, Hashem was able to save his business from being robbed. Hind, however, felt Hashem's pain and began caring for him day and night.
She realized how much she loved him, and that her fear of poverty was overriding her feelings. Hashem sensed her genuine concern, and when he regained his health and business, he decided to take her back as a wife and start a new chapter with her.
