Emma had always found comfort in books.

Every Saturday, she visited the old bookstore at the corner of Maple Street.

It was quiet, dusty, and smelled like forgotten memories.

One rainy afternoon, as she browsed through the romance section, her hand brushed against another’s.

She looked up, startled, and met the kind eyes of a young man.

“Sorry,” he said with a shy smile. “I was reaching for the same book.”

Emma laughed softly. “Good taste, then.”

He picked up the book — Pride and Prejudice.

“It's my favorite,” he said.

“Mine too,” she replied, her smile growing.

That was how it started.

His name was Daniel.

They started meeting at the bookstore every Saturday.

Sometimes they read together, other times they simply talked about life..

Daniel was a writer, trying to publish his first novel.

Emma, a literature teacher, offered to read his drafts.

She gave honest feedback, and he appreciated her sharp eye and gentle words.

As weeks passed, their friendship deepened .

One evening, as the sun set behind the bookstore windows, Daniel handed her a worn notebook.

“It’s my finished novel,” he said, nervous.

Emma opened it, and on the first page, it read،

“For Emma, who showed me love can be written — and lived.”

She looked up, tears in her eyes.

“I think I’ve been falling in love with you,” he whispered.

Emma smiled through her tears. “I think I fell long agoAs Layla flipped through the last pages of the old journal, she found a hidden letter—addressed to her. It was from Adam, the bookstore owner, confessing he had written the romantic entries, hoping she'd find them one day. Her heart raced. She rushed to the shop, only to find him waiting with a shy smile and a rose. "Did you finish reading?" he asked softly. She nodded, tears in her eyes. "Every word felt like it was meant for me." He held out his hand. "Then let’s write the next chapter together." She smiled. “Gladly.
